My name is Maja Rykała. I run a family company producing colourful and unique handmade tableware. We are based in Thurles - the heart of Irish county Tipperary.

I am fascinated with the process of ceramic production. It is amazing when you start with a muddy, shapeless ball of clay and, after days of drying, firing, glazing and firing again, end up with a delightful, colourful cup, bowl or plate that can be used every day.

I love the idea of somebody having their morning coffee, lunch soup or afternoon tea using a vessel of my design and enjoying not only the taste but also a visual part of the experience.
